Backup internet for multi-location businesses

From the FAILOVER5 team at Twisted VoIP, Chandler, Arizona · Updated October 2026

With ten locations, an outage somewhere is a weekly event, and every one turns into a call to IT. A consistent backup at every site turns most of those calls into an alert that resolves itself.

Standardize the setup

Use the same router model and the same configuration at every location. Your IT team supports one setup instead of ten different ones, and replacement units can be swapped by anyone on site.

Pick the carrier per location, though. The best signal at one site isn't always the best at the next, and each SIM is chosen on its own.

VPNs and central systems

If locations connect back to headquarters or a data center over site-to-site VPN, a static IP on the backup line keeps the tunnel predictable. Verizon plans are available with a static IP for $3 a month more. Peplink routers can also bond or steer traffic across links with SpeedFusion if your network uses it.

Working with your IT provider or MSP

FAILOVER5 supplies the connection and leaves the network to you. IT providers and MSPs can resell or manage it through our partner program.

Suggested plan: 20 GB plan, $123/month

Size each site on its own: 10 GB or 20 GB for small storefronts, 50 GB or more for offices and busy locations.
