Internet for events and pop-up shops
From the FAILOVER5 team at Twisted VoIP, Chandler, Arizona · Updated October 2026
Venue WiFi works fine during setup and falls over the moment doors open and a few thousand people connect to it. Your own cellular connection doesn't share bandwidth with the crowd's phones on the venue network.
What it runs
- Square, Shopify POS and other registers
- Ticket scanning apps
- Badge printing and registration desks
- Inventory updates for pop-up shops tied to an online store
Test before doors open
Set the router up during load-in and run a few test transactions. If the signal is weak where your booth is, moving the router a few feet, higher or closer to an outside wall often fixes it.
Only pay during event season
Plans are month to month. Keep the line while you're on the road and cancel when the season ends.
Suggested plan: 20 GB plan, $123/month
A few registers and scanners fit in 10 GB. Multi-day events with several devices running all day are more comfortable on 20 GB.

- Will it work in a packed stadium or convention center?
- Cellular networks slow down in big crowds too, but less than shared venue WiFi. Choosing the carrier with the best capacity at the venue helps.
- How quickly can I be ready for an event?
- eSIMs activate within 24 hours. Physical SIMs ship free.
Does it pay for itself?
The 20 GB plan is $1,476 a year. It pays for itself if it saves about 49 sales a year.
Think about your last outage: how many sales did it cost you?
